We take great care in choosing books at Hand me a Craft. Literature has the power to transform individuals and build character and so we feel it a privilege and responsibility in choosing books with literary power. We believe, literary power is found in stories that are inspiring, well written and. I’ve enjoyed the process of reading these great books with my own kids and working on handicrafts that remind me of the friends we met along the way.
Again and we’ll be sitting on the couch long after the chapters were read sewing or knitting or doing any number of handicrafts and chatting about what we read. The handicrafts provide a natural setting where we can enjoy a common experience and where my kids can narrate in a natural way as we discuss great literature.
